This weekend I attended my very first redneck wedding! I really don't like weddings and usually try to come up with every excuse in the book to get out of them. I was just plain old stuck this weekend and had to attend. I don't agree with marriage anymore - in my opinion people just don't take it as seriously as they should - that includes me. Just think about when the older generation says "oh we have been married for 50 years and together for 55 years. You rarely hear that now with the people of my generation and it is sad! Times really have changed and relationships are just not til death do us part anymore. The younger generation uses sex as a "hello" now and don't care about the many consequences that could follow.
Anyway - this wedding was really funny - not to them but to me it was! They have only known each other for a few months - got married on a leach field in the front yard - I wish I was better with expressing myself - you would have just had to have been there! The mother of the bride wouldn't even attend because she was upset over the whole thing- the relatives were all laughing at them. They all got drunk and made fools of themselves - the groom passed out and had to be carried off. The dogs attacked a person that should had been bitten - and people that had been a couple and were there attending the wedding with their new partners were singing karaoke with their old partners. Some family members either didn't show up or left very early just disgusted at the whole thing.
I had to sit back and watch - It was comical and sad all together. And I was so very thankful just to get out of there when I was able too!
I wish got pictures so I could explain better! I just couldn't take pictures. And I really shouldn't be making fun of it- but the bride and groom - said "Welcome to our Redneck wedding"! And oh boy was it! And after they were married I asked the bride what her new last name was - and the kicker was she couldn't remember what his last name was!!!!!!!!

You can't be serious when you say she couldn't remember the grooms last name?!!! OMG!
I think you got out of there in the nick of time! They may have converted you to the Redneck Religion and you would have had to buy a pick-up truck and buy some cars to scrap in your yard.
At least it was entertainment for the weekend!
Does this mean I have to get the junk cars out of my yard? I am from Texas, 'ya know....
LOL - Yes I am very serious! I am still upset - I haven't even been on line since this! lol
Your right Queenie - it definitely was entertainment! lol
Sure, you were out buying Daisy-dukes weren't you!!!
you communicated very well.. I could envision it all and laughed as well! Was she pregnant? Oh my!!! How long do you give the marriage?
Now if I could fit into Daisy-dukes I would be running out and getting some! lol
OMG if that woman gets pregnant I will faint- too funny! I might have some funny pictures to post soon - so you can enjoy! lol
I can't wait! My imagination may be getting the better of me so reality will be good!
And, they call that a wedding? Oh, my! That was so funny and you told it so very funny! Who knows, maybe this marriage will work out and last forever! (Somehow, though, I think it's gotten off to a pretty bad start.)
